Deadline for receiving applications is Friday, April 17, 2026 at 5:00 PM and can be submitted online
using the ICAC application: https://www.smcgov.org/bnc/application-independent-civilian-advisorycommission-sheriffs-office.

President of the Board of Supervisors Noelia Corzo announced that applications are being accepted for appointment to the Independent Civilian Advisory Commission on the Sheriff’s Office. There are currently two
(2) vacancies: One (1) At-Large Alternate, to be nominated by the ICAC Board Liaisons (Supervisor
Corzo and Supervisor Mueller)
One (1) One Sheriff’s Nominee, to be nominated by the Sheriff for Board
approval pursuant to the Resolution establishing ICAC’s membership.

To be eligible, you must apply. All members must be residents of San Mateo County. Consideration shall
be given to applicant’s background and community involvementto the extent relevant to fulfillment of Commission’s mission. No members may be County employees or sworn peace officers. Those applying for a specific supervisorial district-represented seat must be residents of that district within San Mateo County.
