KDK Legal focuses exclusively on Estate Planning and Estate Administration. The firm is seeking office support staff for its busy downtown Half Moon Bay office. Positions are part-time, flexible hours to start; with an opportunity for increased hours and responsibilities over time. Pay is commensurate with experience.
JOB DUTIES:
- Maintain court date and client appointment calendars
- Client contact including responding to client phone calls and emails
- Open, keep up to date and close client files
- Assist with preparation of client file documentation, e.g., conflicts waivers, attorney client fee agreements, invoices, intake forms, client check lists
- Assist with preparation of legal documentation including Estate Planning documents, Judicial Council forms, probate pleadings and letters to clients, attorneys, etc.
- Prepare deeds, PCORs and DTTs and record documents with county recorder’s office
- Prepare probate court filings, properly file documents with the court, serve process and meet probate publication and other notice requirements
- Prepare Estate Planning Binders
- Online legal research
- Assist with office projects, e.g., update and maintain form files and checklists
- Keep office supplies in stock
