Brush Hog Tree Care is looking for an experienced Climbing Arborist Crew Leader to lead a 2–5 person tree care crew while performing and overseeing safe, productive arboricultural work throughout Northern California.
This is a full-time, year-round senior-level position for an experienced tree climber and arborist who can lead by example, maintain high safety standards, mentor crew members, and confidently manage residential, commercial, and land-management tree care projects.
You’ll be responsible for hands-on tree work including pruning, rigging, hazardous tree removal, cabling and bracing, equipment operation, tree identification, and aerial tree care, while also leading job-site safety, crew coordination, and daily work planning.

What we’re looking for:
4+ years of tree care or forestry experience
4+ years of climbing experience
Valid Class C driver’s license and clean driving record
Strong knowledge of tree identification and professional pruning practices
Ability to lead and mentor a crew
Experience with chainsaws, chippers, aerial lifts, and tree-care equipment
ISA or TCIA certifications are preferred
CDL Class A/B and heavy equipment experience are a plus
